A chewy, meaty wine, with aromatics of cedar, spice box and dried sweet tobacco that play perfectly off of the black cherry fruit. Even with a decade+ bottle age, the tannic structure is still firm. We’d drink it now, alongside rich grilled lamb or beef, or tuck it away in the cellar. This bottle gives a little insight to the Nebbiolo comparisons, with its high toned fruit, earthy aromas and impressive structure.
