This face cover is made from cotton fabric approved by the City of LA to create a protective barrier for the nose and mouth.

It also features a pocket that holds an optional filter for an added layer of protection.

Each face cover comes with 10 disposable filters. Disposable filters are made from non-woven 2-oz poly cellulose.

These covers are not FDA-cleared. Please note these are not a replacement for medical grade N95 or PPE, but are meant to bridge the gap.

Should you wear a face mask?

The CDC recommends wearing a face mask whenever it may be difficult to abide by social distancing guidelines. Social distancing means maintaining a distance of at least 6 feet between you and people outside your household.  It is particularly important to wear face masks in grocery stores, pharmacies, and any indoor space where more you may come in close contact with others. 

Is a cloth mask effective in preventing Covid-19?

Cloth masks are helpful in preventing COVID-19, however they are not a foolproof method.  You should do your best to maintain social distance even when wearing a cloth mask.  Wearing a cloth mask helps prevent spreading droplets from the wearer, but does not protect them from contracting the virus.  Using a cloth mask can help stop the spread of the virus as many people that contract COVID-19 are asymptomatic for up to 14 days. 

How to shop for a face mask

• Make sure your mask is made out of a soft, comfortable material
• Make sure your mask can be secured easily with ear loops
• Make sure your mask fits snugly
• Make sure your mask is washable, and that washing it does not compromise its shape
